Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited promoted by Jeevan Bikas Samaj (Non-Governmental Organization), has been providing financial services since February 28, 2019 after receiving a license from Nepal Rastra Bank as a "D" class financial institution of national level.
With the main goal of building a poverty-free Nepal, this financial institution has been providing financial services as well as digital and social services to raise the living standards of poor families. With the intention of reducing economic inequality in the society, it is working to make the rural areas and poor families enjoy the essential service facilities that are accessible only to the urban areas and wealthy families and to create opportunities for income generation and entrepreneurship development at the local level.
With the aim of reducing the unemployment problem within the country, the financial institution has been focusing on entrepreneurship development targeting to the young people who are in the country and those who have returned from foreign employment. It is conducting its activities as a facilitator of their economic and social development as well as increasing the level of financial literacy of rural and underprivileged families.
For the development and promotion of cashless banking services, the financial institution is expanding its financial services in the rural areas in a simple and easy way by motivating the members towards the digital transactions. Keeping the interest of the members and the community at the forefront, it is providing timely facilities by identifying the latest services that will help in building a prosperous society.
The increasing level of poverty, unemployment and climate change in the world is also escalating crisis of human life. The financial institution is conducting various campaigns to make meaningful the concept of 3Zero (zero poverty, zero unemployment and zero net carbon emission). The Youths who are future generation of the country are being organized through 3Zero Club and are being made to move towards the creation of 3Zero World.
This financial institution has been awarded twice internationally in 2022 and 2023 for being able to include the most youth in the 3Zero Club. While the economic recession is affected, the microfinance sector has also been greatly affected due to the spread of various types of negative illusions. Due to the economic downturn, members' businesses have been closed or are in the process of being closed. Members are in a state of psychological distress, so in such an uncomfortable situation, the financial institution is reaching the homes of members and facilitating installments according to their needs, assisting in re-opening closed businesses, conducting awareness campaigns to remove disillusionment. Our main priority is to make the rural economy viable by providing regular financial services.

In the current complex situation, I express my highest respect for the role of all the employees who work in a member-centered manner while protecting the microfinance sector.
